Comfort Zone

A personal project that I worked on for a challenge of a class that I had at the School of Visual Arts. People think that portrait artist are extremely good with people, but that is really not the case. One of the toughest things for us to do is walk up to people on the street and photograph them. I love people and a lot of my friends think that I am extremely outgoing, but one of my biggest fears is speaking with random people. In order to get over that fear I pitched an assignment to approach people on the street, engage with them, and take a photo. Some had time to interact and chat for a little, some had time for just a quick photo and a dap.
