The Music Man

In upstate New York, there is a tucked away gem called Hudson Valley. An amazing small town that reminds me of home, it’s my refuge from the city when it becomes overwhelming. It’s full of art and signs of gentrification. As I wandered around town I stumbled upon a small music store. I hear the strumming of a guitar, I see a trombone and that takes me back to my childhood, I walk in to meet Rob, the owner. We talked for about 4 hours about music, the effects of technology on business, and life before gentrification. Rob is the only music store in the area that gives lessons, sells instruments, and repairs them. With the rise of technology he believes that there will be no more need for him or stores like his.
